The last of the true Full Floater. I had this exact bike, and it rode smooth. Someone should have this old school Full Floater system grafted onto a modern bike. I wonder how it would perform on a modern bike, especially a four-stroke.

The 84 & 85 RM's looked like MB's beautiful factory RA machine. I owned the 83 RM 80 &125, and then the 84 RM 125, all new off the sales floor. The 84 RM was the best to me, as it had amazing suspension, turned on a dime, and had a good upper midrange and top end punch.

Very nice bike! My 1st bike was XR75 @12yrs old (it was an '80 model in '82) next bike was 82 YZ80 ..very fast (bk then). Then brand new '85 KX80 an I was racing local circuit NJ /PA /DE. I'm late 40s now & still ride! Yamaha sport quads mainly '11 YFZ450 & '21 Raptor 700R-SE. Ride for life! #Yamaha #Maxima #Ford

I had an 84' I bought for $950 new. I rode it so much the engine lost a lot of power. But it lasted for years of hard riding. Scariest time was 6th gear wide open on a golfball driving range and got a tank slapper.
